Event Date:
Thursday, August 7, 2014 - 09:00 to 16:30

Why Start a Veteran-owned Small Business?

Veterans are natural entrepreneurs. They are disciplined, goal-oriented self-starters. Accustomed to accountability, they know the value of being decisive and flexible. This year more than 250,000 service members will transition into civilian life. With the jobless rate persistently high, and unemployment among veterans outpacing the national average, training in entrepreneurship makes sense. Leveraging the talents of service members will promote self-employment and will help stimulate the economy.
This full, one-day course will provide you with the basics of entrepreneurship, everything you need to help you move for-ward with your business idea. Eight separate modules will bring you from business ownership introduction to crafting a business plan.
